Pre & Post Dermal Filler/Skinvive Instructions

• Avoid: Ibuprofen, Advil, Vit. E, Fish oil, Turmeric, Aspirin or any anti-coagulants for 2 weeks prior to treatment. (min 7 days)
• Avoid any irritants to the area being treated, such as products containing Hydroquinone, bleaching creams, Retin-A, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents or chemical peels for at least 2 weeks prior.
• Please remove make-up, lotions and or perfumes on the area being treated before your visit.
• No dental appointments or vaccinations at least two weeks prior or two weeks after your scheduled appointment date.
• Cannot treat 72 hours prior to travel.
• AFTER DERMAL FILLER TREATMENTS: Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours. You will experience swelling and redness over the treated areas which could last 1-3 days. This effect is generally more pronounced in the lips. It can be treated with application of ice packs. There is a chance you may bruise. Any bruising is superficial and should resolve in a few days. A preparation of Arnica Montana is available at the front desk to decrease the chances of bruising. If pain persists, Tylenol may be taken. Results seen immediately after injection may appear uneven or lumpy due to swelling; this generally corrects itself within a few days. If unevenness persists call the office for further instruction.
• Any DERMAL FILLER touch ups should be done within 2 weeks of the initial treatment. Any product remaining will be stored for 15 days after which will be discarded.
