What to Expect on the Day of a Liquid Facelift

When you come into our office for your Liquid Facelift, you will be able to make yourself comfortable in our reclining chair. A topical anesthetic will be applied to the targeted areas to numb your face during the treatment, and your provider may begin plotting out the points with tiny marks where they are planning to make the injections. Once the two of you are ready, the specific dermal filler decided upon during your consultation will be used to enhance your target areas.

Once the filler has been injected, you will be gently massaged to move the filler around so it’s evenly distributed, which will then be assessed, adding more filler when necessary. Once you are finished, your face will be gently cleaned off and any markings will be removed. You may also receive an ice pack to lightly apply to your face to minimize any excessive swelling or bruising. The whole process can take up to 45 minutes.

Liquid Facelift Recovery

When you are finished with your treatment, you will be able to leave and continue your normal routine, but we like to recommend using the rest of the day to relax and avoid any activity that could accidentally move the filler around. We will provide you with instructions that should help you make the most of your treatment, which includes the proper technique to lightly massage your face.

You can expect some bruising and redness, but this should heal on its own within a day or two. Once the swelling goes away, you should be able to see immediate results.
